We will discuss how to prevent, prepare for, respond to, and recover from incidents of workplace violence. When a comprehensive model is used, we have the structure that enables us to recognize violence at its earliest stage and manage it before it gets out of control.  The model also allows us to maintain a readiness to respond and recover from violent incidents when they happen. The speaker will place special emphasis on the role of human resources in the management of violence. Participants will be encouraged to share best practices so that others can learn strategies to strengthen their programs.
